Presently, there is no place for manufacturers to go and get such services. They need a place where choice of design services of designers can be availed of that too out of hundreds of Designers at one place. Besides, there is hardly any place where high profile clients can go and get the Designer-Wear. Another sector which needs to be catered and can prove to be a big market is “Designed Wedding-Wear”. Also, there is no place from where Designers can market their Designer- Wears, Designs and sampling services. This difficulty is especially faced by the Budding or fresh Designers.
Based on this research, it was felt that both the communities should be able to meet & fulfill their mutual needs at one place. Fashion Technology Park (ftp) came in to existence as an answer to those needs. In other words, ftp is very much needed for the development of Fashion Business in India & particularly in this region. The global scenario of Fashion Business in a liberalized market is another propeller as the competition in quality and pricing is tough to go through. Fashion Technology Park (ftp) has planned to provide about 400 units of super areas of approximately starting from 337 Sq ft to1146 Sq ft. One can have it on rent or one can purchase it right away. In these spaces one can house 4-5 tailors, a 2 ½ x 2 ½ feet Dressing room, a cutting table and a Designing Counter. One can Design for manufacturers and can get one’s own samples made inside one’s own studio from one’s own employed tailors. One can also Design and get the Designer- wear manufactured inside the place. One can best utilise the tailors for sample- making and Designer-Wear and Designed Wedding-Wear for optimal utilization of the space and staff. For machine / hand made embroidery, button-holing and button- fixing etc. one can approach such people inside FTP as we are providing spaces for such service providers also. The first tower providing 240 out of above studios is being completed before 30-06-2010 (Subject to change if required) having independent entrance. These studios can be operate from 01-09-2010.
The space unit for Budding Designers in Design Pavilion two is called as “DESIGN and DESIGNER WEAR STUDIOS” and can be had in multiples of Ones, Twos or Threes.
Firstly, a big cluster of 400 Designs and Designer-Wear studios at one place i.e. in FTP will itself be a big attraction to all clients requiring these services, as the clients will have a large variety to choose from. Secondly, the clients will start visiting these studios immediately at the start of business in these studios as presently there is no other place for this purpose. Fashion Technology Park (ftp) is mailing the message to all manufacturers in India and abroad and putting sufficient but limited advertisement on Television, Radio and Newspapers in India and on NRI/TV channels and newspapers abroad. Our website will be another way of information to these clients. All these efforts will help attracting large footfall of clients in these studios, immediately on the start of their operation.
